Coaching
We coach IT managers, service managers and teams close to the floor and help them grow into a stronger service organization.
As a service management specialist we do not coach from a distance. We are present where the work happens. We sit in on meetings and watch roles, decision-making, escalation behavior, team dynamics and how the manager steers. Then we help the team grow into a stronger service organization. Not theory from a book, but coaching on what is really going on.
We have been IT and service managers ourselves for years. We know what it is like to steer a team while the tickets keep coming in and the business keeps pulling at you. We bring that experience to the coaching. We do not come to tell you how it should be done according to a framework, we watch your situation and name what we see. Often the problem is not knowledge or effort, but patterns nobody notices anymore because they have always been there. A role that is not clearly assigned, an escalation that always comes too late, a meeting where decisions get postponed. When someone looks at that with fresh eyes, things change faster than with yet another training course.
Who it is for
For IT managers and service managers who want to steer more strongly, and for teams stuck in old patterns. Also valuable when the same debates and escalations keep coming back and you cannot quite see why.
The problem we solve
Teams rarely underperform through lack of knowledge. They get stuck on unclear roles, slow decisions, escalations that come too late and a manager who steers too much or too little. You do not see that in a report. You see it only when someone watches on the floor.
What the engagement looks like
Observe
We sit in on meetings and watch the real work. Roles, interactions, decision-making and escalation behavior: we see where it grinds.
Name the patterns
We name the patterns the team or the manager cannot see themselves. Honest and concrete, focused on what actually happens.
Adjust on the floor
We coach in the moment: how to lead a meeting more tightly, pick up an escalation earlier or assign a role more sharply.
Carry on independently
The goal is for manager and team to keep doing it themselves. We reduce the dependency while we are involved.
What it delivers
A stronger team and a manager who steers more sharply. Roles are clear, decisions come faster, escalations arrive on time and the patterns that were stuck are broken. The service organization runs better with the same people. And because we deliberately reduce the dependency, the effect holds once we are gone: the team knows what to watch for itself and the manager steers on what really matters instead of the noise of the day.
What the price depends on
The price depends on duration and intensity: occasional sessions differ from a longer coaching period close to the team. Team size plays in too. We agree rhythm and involvement up front, and deliberately keep it light: coaching works best in short, regular contact moments rather than a heavy program that keeps the team from the real work.
Frequently asked questions
Do you coach the manager or the team?
Both. We coach IT managers and service managers on how they steer, and the team on collaboration, roles and escalation behavior. Often the two reinforce each other.
What exactly do you observe?
Meetings, interactions, roles, decision-making, escalation behavior, team dynamics and the manager's behavior. We coach on what really happens.
Is this a training course?
No. We do not run ITIL training. We coach on the floor, on your situation, not on general theory from a book.
How long do you stay involved?
As short as possible. The goal is for manager and team to keep doing it themselves. We reduce the dependency while we coach.
